Hi Friends!
I’ve been asked lately for my favorite Green Smoothie recipe, so here it is!
This recipe is healthy, easy to make and delicious – Enjoy!
Ingredients (makes 2-3 servings):
- One bag of Frozen Pineapple Chunks (fresh is great too if you have on hand! Add ice cubes if you are using fresh)
- Several leaves (at least half a bunch) of washed Kale (my favorite is DInosaur Kale but other types are good too!)
- One cup of either fresh-squeezed Grapefruit Juice or you can use a high quality organic Grapefruit Juice (Please see note below for an important note on this)
- 1/2 cup of filtered water (more if needed)
- 2 Scoops of Collagen Powder (adds protein and amazing support for immune system, bone health and the vitality of skin, hair and nails)
Blend ingredients together well in your favorite blender and enjoy!
Important Note: If you are on any prescription medications, please check first to make sure that you are allowed to have grapefruit, as it can interfere with certain medications. If you are not allowed grapefruit, there are two lovely alternatives – either squeeze fresh lime juice (2-3 limes) into the above mixture. Or – frozen Passionfruit (Maracuya in Spanish) can be found in the frozen section of some supermarkets, especially Latin supermarkets. Just make sure (as always!) to read the ingredients to ensure that the ingredients are only the fruit, with no other additives.
